Poetry in motion

 9Aug2010

I keep hearing the words poetry in motion. The idiom of something pleasant to look at, as it flows smoothly and in rhythm like poetry does, with beauty and grace in its movements.
As I think of the Bible as a whole this is what I think of, poetry in motion, until we dissect it to death and make every sentence a doctrine of something. I decided to look and see if perhaps the word poet was in my biblical dictionary and lo and behold it was. Poet in the Greek means "Maker" and poetry means creative literature.
So I figure that there is a Language that we are not understanding that the scriptures are contrived of.
This is a pure language that has with it tragedies, calamities. But there is always a Hero in every drama of life to rescue us from these things. In fact the antonym of tragedy is Godsend. I found this to be most remarkable.
One Hero (Godsend) to all the tragedies of life, yet will we call on Him that we find this rest for our weary bones? Godsend, The Maker who creatively writes a way for us to escape, and then sends it. Oh the poetry in motion as we but gaze on the beauty of His all encompassing word sent to save the day. A poetic justice of His virtue that triumphs over the vice, with the final result being that He wins and so do we, because we are in Him and He in us. Understanding that the irony of it all is that He took that which was for me and gave to me that which He is.
I love my Poet and His poetry that has been written in the scriptures and my own life. Oh the times He has had to be the King on the white horse, much like a fairy tale and rescue me. Poetry, the language of Love, with an Author and Finisher of the faith He but gave me a measure of and has increased. Shall I wait for another slice of scripture when I can have the whole pie? Or shall I just allow Him to kiss me with the kisses of His mouth (revelation)? With each passing day my life become more of a poetry in motion.
